Enertechnos is pleased to announce that it has joined currENT – the voice of Europe’s innovative grid technology companies – to aid in taking Europe’s power networks to the next level.
Since the company’s foundation in 2014, Enertechnos’ focus has been – and remains – developing and adopting a new form of cabling system for transmission and distribution networks called Capacitive Transfer System (CTS). The transmission and distribution of electrical energy must be done cost-effectively, considering the geographical, topographical and political barriers.
CurrENT is the key industry association representing innovative grid technology companies operating in Europe. The next-generation solutions that members provide advance the transition toward a decentralised, distributed and active power network.
Dominic Quennell, CEO, Enertechnos, said: “It is with great pleasure that we join currENT, having been recommended to the association by an existing member. Europe’s power networks require innovation to provide better outputs to consumers and drive the respective country’s net-zero targets. It is by aligning ourselves with currENT and its objectives that we may be a voice for this transformation.”
Layla Sawyer, Secretary General, currENT, said: “We are delighted to welcome Enertechnos to currENT. There is an increasing awareness that powerful electricity grids are going to be crucial to delivering on net-zero. Innovative grid technologies are going to be needed to help build the grids of the future that can support a fully decarbonized European economy.”
